Born and brought up in Bath, I came to
London to study Graphic Design at St Martin’s and Wimbledon Schools
of Art. After four years designing and illustrating children’s
Natural History books at Usborne Publishing, I moved into freelance
work in 1980. I now live in Wimbledon with my three teenaged
children.
About my work:
I work mainly in watercolour and
pencil, specialising in portraits of houses and other buildings, and
have worked for estate agencies and property developers, as well as
private clients. I also accept commissions for portraits of animals
(my favourite subjects) and children, and am frequently asked to
create gifts to mark family events or special birthday or Christmas
presents.
Exhibitions:
I have exhibited my work in Bath,
Cambridge and Brighton, and in Chiswick, Kingston,
Putney,
Richmond, The Strand and Wimbledon. In 1999 and 2002 I held solo
exhibitions at the Cotman Gallery, King’s College
School, Wimbledon. I am a member of the Worple Group of artists,
which presents exhibitions in Wimbledon each Spring and Autumn.
Enquiries about my work are most
welcome and I am very happy to accept commissions.
