TERMS FOR ARTISTS |

All artwork, photography and images displayed on
this website are the copyright of individual
artists.

2 You are entitled, by UK law, to return an item
undamaged in its original received condition within
7 days of purchase and receive a full refund less
the postage and packaging costs charged to you. You must notify us in writing (letter or email)
within 7 working days if you wish to return a
purchase. A telephone call cannot be accepted.
You
will be required to either package the item in its
original packaging or similar to ensure its safe
delivery and to return it at your cost by the same
means it was delivered to you. You will need
to arrange this with the individual artists
concerned. Paint Impressions does not
handle artists artwork under any circumstances.
However, if you need advice about this, please
email
us. NOTE:
The above entitlement does not apply to personalised
items, for example any commissioned artwork or
photograph of someone, somewhere or something
personal to yourself.

All negotiations, eg. regarding payment and delivery
must be with the artist / photographer and you will
not hold Paint Impressions responsible for
any misunderstandings resulting from your private
negotiations.

By purchasing artwork from any artist, you do not
also purchase the copyright. You are the owner of
the artwork you have purchased but the artist or
photographer always retains the copyright to their
work, by law. As such, they are entitled to produce
prints with the same image as the original piece.

We have taken care to show and describe the artwork
displayed on this website accurately. Images on
screen are obviously at a much lower resolution than
they actually are. Consequently, any pieces you buy
will be of a clearer resolution / much better image
quality than they appear on the website.

It is possible you may find slight variations in
colour in the actual image due to how your computer
is set up to view on-screen colours.

If you have any queries about a piece of artwork,
eg. size, medium, title, method of despatch, please
direct them to the individual artists concerned.
Contact details can be found in their gallery pages.
Paint Impressions will not be held liable for any
misunderstandings related to these areas.

8 Artists are responsible for
informing us when a unique item, such as an original
painting has been sold. Occasionally, they may overlook
doing this. If you wish to be certain of a particular
items' availability, we suggest you email the artist
first. This is not usually necessary for prints.

Paint impressions reserve the right to alter or add
to these terms and conditions as appropriate. Any
alterations will come into effect when they are
published here on this website.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION |

| 1. CONDITIONS OF
MEMBERSHIP |

- www.paintimpressions.com is
referred to as 'Paint Impressions' and 'the website'.
- Paint Impressions is owned by
Theresa Evans of 9, Rowans Close, Stalybridge, Cheshire, SK15 3GF.
England. Enquiries should be directed to
enquire-at-paintimpressions.com (replace '-at-' with @) for a
quick response.
- You can also contact us via the
contact form on this website.
- Paint Impressions will be also be
referred to as 'us', 'we' and 'our (s)'. The art gallery
window subscriber or prospective subscriber will be referred to as
'you' and your art gallery window space on this website as
'your' gallery. 'Artwork' refers to all work displayed in your
gallery, including photographs and prints.
- The webspace of your gallery on
this website remains the property of Paint Impressions and is hired
to you on an annual subscription basis for the purposes of
displaying and / or selling artwork and linking to your other art
related online presence(s)
- By subscribing to membership of
your art gallery window at Paint Impressions you agree that you
accept the terms & conditions laid out below.
- We encourage membership from
artists of all ages and abilities, including children and students.
We will not consider for display within any of the galleries on this
website, any
material which is considered unsuitable for this wide membership
and website audience.
- Membership subscription is
payable in £ sterling. Applications from artists in countries
outside the UK are very welcome.
- Payment for an art gallery window
membership is accepted by credit card through Paypal or by cheque;
made payable to Theresa Evans.
- Membership will commence on
clearance of your payment and you will be notified by e-mail.
- Instructions will also be
contained in this e-mail about submitting your art, biography
details and desired links in order for us to build your art gallery
window.
- You are entitled to cancel your
art gallery window at any time and if within 7 days, receive a full
refund less an admin / set-up fee of £12.50 if your gallery has
already been built. After 7 days and within the first 3 months you may receive a
pro-rata refund less an administration / art gallery window set-up
fee of £12.50. After 3 months you may cancel your gallery window but a
refund is not possible. Upon cancellation, your art gallery window
will be immediately deleted from this website.

| 2. LIABILITY & INDEMNITY |
- As a subscriber to an art
gallery window on this website, you are our customer.
- Any person buying artwork from
your art gallery window or via a link form it is your
customer and not ours.
- Paint Impressions undertakes to
display your artwork in a professional and attractive manner in line
with the format of this website. By agreeing to these terms and
conditions, you are accepting that your work will be displayed in
this format. However, Paint Impressions also reserves the right to
update and redesign the website and all gallery areas. If you are
unhappy with the result of any changes made, you reserve the right
to close your art gallery window and receive a pro-rata refund of
your annual membership subscription for the current year.
- You guarantee that all artworks
you submit and is subsequently included in your art gallery window
on this website are your own work and do not infringe any copyright
laws, intellectual or otherwise.
- The owner of this website, Theresa
Evans, reserves the right to take compassionate and annual leave.
Alternative arrangements to handle email enquiries to the website
will always be made. Additionally, artists will always be
contactable by prospective customers via their individual contact
forms in their art gallery window area.
- For the purpose of maintaining
your privacy, you are given an e-mail in-box at Paint Impressions to
receive your enquiries. This is set up with an 'autoresponder' to
thank your customer for their enquiry. The enquiry is then
automatically forwarded to your private e-mail address, without it
becoming public.
- We promise that will never share
or sell your e-mail or contact details.
- We will not now, or ever, charge
you commission on your sales.
- Whilst every care is taken with
saving the data on your art gallery window to back-up files, you
agree that we will not be held responsible for loss of any such data
and are you are advised to retain your own back-up copies of image
files.
- You agree that we are not to be
held liable for any losses arising from your art gallery window on
Paint Impressions or from any of your linked websites or
transactions made by you with your customers. You indemnify us from
any claims made against you from your customers, including any
damages and expenses arising from your transactions.
- You agree that you will not hold
Paint Impressions responsible for any errors of judgment you may
make as a result of emails received via the website. Please be aware
that there are art scams on the internet and there is nothing we can
do to eliminate these; we can only make you aware of their
existence. Please visit art scams
for more information.
- You are responsible for accurately
describing the artwork displayed in your art gallery window on this
website, including the size, medium, titles and method of dispatch
of your work. Customers are entitled to contact you about these
matters.
- You are responsible for informing
us when a unique item , such as an original painting has been sold
so that it can be marked as such or replaced.
- Any artwork supplied to your
customers which is found to be misrepresented by your description or
faulty or damaged on delivery to your customer is solely your
responsibility and you indemnify us from any claims made against
you. It is your responsibility to try to ensure that your work is
delivered undamaged to your customer.
UK Carriers
- This website is hosted on servers
with 24/7/365 monitoring and 99.9% uptime . However, we cannot claim
that this website will be on-line uninterrupted. Occasionally the
website might be unavailable for short periods due to unforseen web
server interruptions. Such events are out of our control and you
will not hold us responsible for any consequences resulting from
this.
- Paint Impressions reserves the
right to change these Terms and Conditions periodically, as may be
required by law, and to update our services to you. Any changes will
come into effect when they are posted here on this website.
